I see polka dots everywhere!

While browsing in many clothing department stores I have been seeing polkadots on everything from clothing to backpacks .Looks like polkadots are making a comeback for spring 2014 and while I don't usually like every trend that comes out, I have always had a soft spot for polkadots, It takes me back to my childhood, Im pretty sure we have all owned a polkadot item at some period in our lives. I personally recommend the black polkadots on white or the white polkadots on navy blue, If your trying to keep it classic. While the black polkadots on red looks fun, it can leave you looking like a lady bug or a spanish señorita. nothing is wrong with either, but if your thinking long term, which is the way you  should always think when buying a piece of clothing. If you already have polkadots in your closet, then lucky you!

Breakfast at Tiffany's

I've always wanted to do breakfast at Tiffany's. when James and I decided to go on a road trip to Portland I decided this would be the perfect time to do it since we would be waking up really early. the original plan was we would wake up early drive to Tiffany's downtown Vancouver, buy a coffee and a scone and have breakfast at Tiffany's but such is life that James and I over slept and since time waits on no one. we decided to skip it and do it another time. but luck must have been in my cards because James pointed to a Tiffany's that was near our hotel!

this time we made sure we would get up, we set our alarms the night before and I went to bed with a huge smile on my face. the next day It was raining and it was cold but I was determined to do it, we purchased our coffee and scones at a local coffee shop and walked to Tiffany's and had our breakfast. 
It was amazing even though our coffee was really bad and the scones were to sugary I was happy that I had done something I had always wanted to do. So to you my friend I say whether your dream be small or big nothing is impossible:)
